Dr. Mona Bhatia, is a globally renowned, pioneer in cardiac imaging, with over 30 years of experience including 13 years internationally in UK, UAE, Turkey, Switzerland and USA. Dr. Bhatia is the Director and Head of Cardiac Imaging, at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, and has held senior leadership and faculty positions in large university and private teaching institutions. Dr. Mona Bhatia holds the prestigious positions of Chair, International Regional Committee, India for the SCCT; Chair, Advocacy Committee, SCMR, Coordinator, Committee on Artificial Intelligence, Indian Radiological and Imaging Association; Member Accreditation Committee and Principal Assessor: National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Health Care Providers in Medical Imaging services; Member, Cardiac Imaging Subspecialty Committee, Indian College of Radiology and Imaging and Past Convener, Cardiac Imaging, Cardiological Society of India.
Dr. Bhatia has extensively authored and presented papers, publications, and chapters besides being a reviewer for international journals and conferences. Dr. Bhatia is passionate about driving the highest standards of cardiac imaging in India and has mentored numerous young doctors. Her special areas of interest include calcium scoring, coronary assessment, stents evaluation, myocardial perfusion, TAVI evaluation, FFR and cardiovascular MRI. Dr. Bhatia is the Course Director and conducts regular dedicated, hands on, International SCCT accredited, cardiac CT academies and workshops since 2013, to enhance diagnosis, prognostication and management of cardiovascular disease in India and is involved in various multi-center trials on coronary CT, TAVI assessment, cardiac MRI, and stem cell therapy.
Dr. Bhatia is passionate about innovation and transformation and is actively involved in driving technological innovations and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Dr. Bhatia is a consultant and advisor to several AI companies and start-ups, in creating clinically relevant, need based, best in class solutions.
